Postcards from the POSTAL NATION 09/07
In the decade that the POSTAL franchise has stalked the Earth, our success can be attributed primarily to two things: Good games and even better fans. We genuinely believe that our fans are the most creative, passionate and supportive group of gamers on this planet. As a result, Postal Nation has no geographic borders; rather, it is a state of mind that spans the globe. Our fans enjoy indulging in some harmless fun and they possess a sense of humor, and we want to thank you all from the bottom of our withered, black hearts.
Now let’s hear from some of those fans as well as checking out some of their most creative contributions to our legacy.
"Hey, RWS my collest dudes. I am proud to inform you that I'm the cofounder of the first Postal Union on Gamespot. Me and some dudes made it. We're proud to own the union for the best game in the world."
The game conversion from the bank robbery into the social wellfare office was a brilliant idea.
The Twin Towers scene was great too. "No bitches, we're going home" but the "rescue troop" messed up.
The scene where our Dude addressed an assembly was nice but the "folks" should've whined. It would be way cooler.
George and Osama were a great couple
Postal Dude's bitch was really perfect; that's exactly how I imagined her.
The scene where the woman got ping-ponged by two cars + police was a really cool idea.
One of the biggest laughs was where one of the bitches came and said (I only know the German words, but do a freestyle translation :D) "He crapped on my face!"
The whole cinema almost fell outta their seats.
Little Germany was a cool idea.
All survived but the children... that was so hard but great.
Cons
The start should have been a little bit more like the game. This little "to-do list" should've come out of this "ego perspective."
The cat silencer was nice but way too short.
We postal players really hoped for a scene like in the game, where he sits the cat on his AK47 or M-9 and you hear that "mea mea mea mea mea" and than with that flying rocket aka cat "meaooowwwww!"
The Shovel was really missing. That was the most annoying but also beloved ultra weapon which should really have been in there. That "boing" should go throughout the cinema so loudly that you never forget that sound again.
Also the canister + match should've been used.
Those three are POSTAL must-haves.
All in all a very cool movie.
That was also the first game-oriented film that was really viewable.
I hope there will be more where this one came from.
Maybe a little bit more gore, because it was a little bit too harmless when it came to blood 'n' guts.
Fan Letter
"Vince, (and the postal team!),
First things first, keep up the good work on the postal III game and the movie!
After seeing the postal III screens my anticipation has grown like a cat on a shotgun! Were those screens taken on a PC or a Xbox 360? and When will the game be released? and How about the zombies? have you managed to keep them far away from postal? (if not, I'm always willing to help :D)
Greetz from the hellhole on the other side of the pond! (Holland that is)"
Vince: Fuck the zombies, we killed them all! POSTAL III will introduce new characters
Fan Submission : The Gimp
"The guys at RWS are crazy baddasses.
They are not afraid to obliterate the bounds of good taste in the name of fun and do not care who gets offended in the process.
Keep up the great work and heres looking forward to the ne3xt decade of mayhem."
